NEPAL RETREAT:
Hiking & Pilates

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JOURNEY

Kathmandu & Sacred Buddhist monastery – Peaceful stay near one of Nepal’s most sacred monasteries. Morning Buddhist pujas and restorative pilates sessions focused on breath, alignment, and gentle recovery help us arrive in Nepal at a calm, grounded pace.
3-Day Trek – A scenic hike through forests and villages, including Ghorepani, Tadapani, and the charming Gurung village of Ghandruk. Sunrise from a 3,210 m viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare mountains.
Pokhara & Lake Fewa – A lakeside city framed by green hills and snowy peaks. Before and after the trek, we enjoy pilates, sunsets by the lake, boating, or even paragliding.

  • BUDDHIST MONASTERY

We begin in the hills at an eco-stay near one of Nepal’s most sacred Buddhist monastery, where morning and evening traditional pujas and encounters with monks immerse us in the local spirit. Surrounded by forest and silence, it’s an ideal place for gentle pilates and acclimatization in peaceful, scenic surroundings.

  • 3-DAYS TREK

Our trail leads through pine forests and stone steps up to Ghorepani (2,874 m). At dawn, we climb to Poon Hill (3,210 m) for one of the most spectacular sunrises in the Himalayas — with panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and the sacred Machapuchare.
  • GHANDRUK VILLAGE

A traditional Gurung settlement with stone houses, narrow lanes, and colorful prayer flags. We stay overnight here, experiencing the rhythm of village life while gazing at the snow-covered peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchare rising just beyond the rooftops.

  • LAKE FEWA

A serene lakeside city surrounded by emerald hills and the snowy peaks of the Annapurna range. Here we stroll along the shores of Lake Fewa, enjoy traditional Nepali food, and practice pilates by the water while watching paragliders drift above the hills and the reflections of Machapuchare shimmer on the lake’s surface.

Day-by-day itinerary:

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu → Eco-stay near Buddhist monastery
We’ll meet you at the airport in Kathmandu and drive straight into the hills to our eco-retreat near a sacred Buddhist monastery — one of Nepal’s most important pilgrimage sites. Staying at the eco-resort allows us to begin the journey in calm, away from the bustle of the city. This first day is dedicated to rest, gentle acclimatization, and settling into the rhythm of the Himalayas. In the evening, we’ll join monks for a traditional puja, followed by a restorative pilates session designed to gently mobilize the spine, reconnect with the breath, and support nervous system recovery after travel.

Day 2
Mountain Retreat Stay
A full day at a sacred hilltop monastery to relax and prepare for trekking. Pilates sessions led by Stanislava in the serene surroundings will gently strengthen the core, improve posture, mobilize the hips, spine, and ankles, and enhance balance and coordination. We’ll also take a light hike around the monastery, and attend morning and evening pujas and conversations with monks, offering a unique opportunity to experience authentic monastic life in Nepal while preparing both body and mind for the journey ahead.
Day 3
Flight to Pokhara
After morning puja, we’ll take a 25-minute scenic flight to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. The city sits by Lake Fewa, with snowy peaks reflected in its waters. Here, we’ll prepare for the trek and enjoy our first Himalayan sunset by the lakeshore. In the evening, a gentle Pilates session by the lake with Stanislava will continue the physical preparation, enhancing mobility, balance, and overall readiness for the trek ahead.
