NEPAL RETREAT:
Meditative Hiking & Yoga

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JOURNEY

Kathmandu & Scared Buddhist monastery – Peaceful stay near one of Nepal’s most sacred monasteries. Morning pujas, meditation, and yoga sessions help us gently arrive in Nepal.
3-Day Trek – A scenic hike through forests and villages, including Ghorepani, Tadapani, and the charming Gurung village of Ghandruk. Sunrise from a 3,210 m viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare mountains.
Pokhara & Lake Fewa – A lakeside city framed by green hills and snowy peaks. Before and after the trek, we enjoy yoga, sunsets by the lake, boating, or even paragliding.

  • BUDDHIST MONASTERY

We begin in the hills at an eco-stay near one of Nepal’s most sacred Buddhist monastery, where morning and evening pujas, meditation, and encounters with monks immerse us in the local spirit. Surrounded by forest and silence, it’s an ideal place for gentle yoga and acclimatization in peaceful, scenic surroundings.

  • 3-DAYS TREK

Our trail leads through pine forests and stone steps up to Ghorepani (2,874 m). At dawn, we climb to Poon Hill (3,210 m) for one of the most spectacular sunrises in the Himalayas — with panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and the sacred Machapuchare.
  • GHANDRUK VILLAGE

A traditional Gurung settlement with stone houses, narrow lanes, and colorful prayer flags. We stay overnight here, experiencing the rhythm of village life while gazing at the snow-covered peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchare rising just beyond the rooftops.

  • LAKE FEWA

A serene lakeside city surrounded by emerald hills and the snowy peaks of the Annapurna range. Here we stroll along the shores of Lake Fewa, enjoy traditional Nepali food, and practice yoga by the water while watching paragliders drift above the hills and the reflections of Machapuchare shimmer on the lake’s surface.

Day-by-day itinerary:

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu → Eco-stay near Buddhist monastery
We’ll meet you at the airport in Kathmandu and drive straight into the hills to our eco retreat stay, near sacred Buddhist monastery — one of the most Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Staying at an eco-resort near the monastery allows you to begin the journey in peace, away from the noise of the capital. This first day is about rest, gentle acclimatization, and getting into the rhythm of the Himalayas. In the evening, we’ll join monks for a traditional puja, followed by light meditation and restorative yoga after the long journey.

Day 2
Mountain Retreat Stay
A full day to immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of a sacred hilltop monastery. We’ll attend morning and evening pujas, learn the basics of Buddhist meditation, and talk with monks about their daily life. Yoga sessions guided by Sasha will take place in the quiet surroundings of the hills, helping both body and mind adapt to the upcoming trek. This is not just a stopover — it’s a rare chance to experience authentic monastic life in Nepal.
Day 3
Flight to Pokhara

We’ll take a short scenic flight to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. The city lies by Lake Fewa with snowy peaks reflected in its waters. Here, we’ll prepare for the trek and enjoy our first Himalayan sunset by the lakeshore. Evening yoga or meditation by the lake helps restore balance and set intentions for the trek ahead.

Pokhara → Banthanti (Jeep) → Ghorepani (2,874 m)

Day 5
Ghorepani → Tadapani (2,630 m)
At dawn, we hike up to a panoramic viewpoint (3,200 m) to watch the sun rise over Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare — often called one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world. After breakfast, we continue our trek to Tadapani through alpine forests and ridges with sweeping views. In the evening, a grounding yoga session will ease tired muscles and deepen the experience of mountain silence.
